Dimensional weight, used in shipping and freight, is a billing technique which takes into account the length, width, and height of a package according to the IATA regulations. If the shipment package dimensional weight is more than the actual weight, then billing will be according to the dimensional weight.
Take into account the higher weight between ‘dimensional weight’ & ‘actual weight’.
Length 78cm, Width 40cm, Height 35cm Actual Weight 15 KG,
Dimensional Weight: (78*40*35)/6000=18.2KG Charge 19KG
Billing Weight – Dimensional Weight: 19KG
Length 78cm, Width 40cm, Height 35cm Actual Weight 30KG,
Dimensional Weight: (78x40x35)/6000=18.2KG Charge 19KG，
Billing Weight – Actual Weight: 30KG
For package exceeds 120cm there will be an extra charge of RM110.
